Q.
What are the overheads on my computer/network?
A. We have made every effort to
reduce processor and network overheads. In fact
MAS will work
perfectly over a VPN connection.

The above figures are typical
for departmental shares on large
networks where multiple
shares are used. Below
are typical total
requirements although the departmental
shares would not necessarily
be on the same disk(s).

- If
a computer is disconnected from the network
(a salesperson's, laptop for example) MAS
will continue to log activity and periodically
attempt to connect to the share. Once
the connection to the share is re-established
the log files are copied. NB. Screen-captures
are not taken while the share is unavailable.
(To minimize network traffic on reconnection)
Q.
Analysis Mode takes a long time to load, how can
I make it faster?
A: From the Export Window, set
up MAS Export as a Scheduled Task to run overnight.
Even if you do not use the SQL Reports, this
ensures that your SQL database is always up
to date and also performs the background tasks
that Analysis Mode requires.
Q.
How do I uninstall MAS?
A. For obvious reasons MAS does not
appear in Add/Remove Programs. Enter your password
to access the main window and choose "Uninstall".
Q.
I forgot my password, what can I do?
A. Contact us.
We will
only recover passwords for registered users
and after verifying their identity.
Q.
Why is the log file empty? Where has all of yesterdays
data gone?
A. If a shared folder is not specified,
data in the log file is cleared every day to
prevent the file from growing too large. If
you want to keep archives specify a location
in the Shared Path option - where they will
be copied each day.
Q.
How do upgrade my workstations to a new version
of MAS?
A: You don't need to do anything.
All computers that connect to the shared folder will
automatically upgrade themselves when a newer
version is installed on any workstation.
For Terminal Servers, the new
installer needs to be run on each server and
the server rebooted. If it is not possible to
reboot the server, please contact Technical
Support who will advise.
